Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction & Acceptance Welcome to Prestige Gas (“we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website, the ordering of products, and our delivery services. By accessing our website and placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2. Our Products & Services We supply Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), facilitate the exchange of used gas cylinders for full ones (“Exchange”), and sell new gas cylinders which include a refundable deposit system. All gas and cylinders supplied comply with the standards set by the Liquefied Petroleum Gas Safety Association of Southern Africa (LPGSASA).

3. Gas Cylinder Deposit System

  • When you purchase a new gas bottle from us without providing an empty cylinder for exchange, a once-off, refundable deposit for the gas cylinder will be charged.
  • This deposit is held by us to cover the cost of the cylinder.
  • The deposit will be refunded to you upon the return of the gas cylinder in good, usable condition, subject to reasonable wear and tear. Significant damage, rust, or unauthorized modifications may result in the forfeiture of the deposit.
  • The process for claiming your deposit refund is outlined in our Refund Policy.

4. Ordering and Payment

  • Orders can be placed through our secure online checkout process on this website or by contacting us directly via phone or email at [Your Contact Email].
  • Full payment must be received before an order is confirmed and scheduled for delivery. We accept payments via the methods indicated on our checkout page.
  • All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of Value-Added Tax (VAT) where applicable.

5. Delivery Policy

  • Our delivery service is available exclusively to the postcodes and suburbs listed on our product pages for Durban and Cape Town. We do not deliver outside these specified areas.
  • We aim to complete all deliveries within 24-48 business hours of order confirmation. Our team will contact you to arrange a suitable delivery window.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that our delivery personnel have safe and clear access to your property to complete the delivery and connection. We reserve the right to refuse delivery if the conditions are deemed unsafe.
  • Upon delivery, our personnel will perform a basic safety check (visual inspection and leak test) of the cylinder connection. This does not constitute a full compliance inspection of your entire gas installation. The safety and compliance of your installation remain your responsibility.

6. Order Cancellations You may cancel an order for a full refund provided you notify us at least 24 hours before the scheduled delivery window. Cancellations made after this period may be subject to a reasonable cancellation fee.

7. Limitation of Liability & Indemnity

  • We supply LPG and gas cylinders that are compliant with all relevant safety standards. We are not liable for any damage, loss, or injury caused by the incorrect use, storage, or handling of gas cylinders, or as a result of a non-compliant or faulty gas installation on your property.
  • You agree to indemnify us against any claims or liability arising from your use of our products and services, except where such liability arises from our gross negligence or willful misconduct.

8. Privacy We are committed to protecting your privacy. Your personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

9. Governing Law These Terms and Conditions and all transactions with us are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
